6 Wickedly Fun Games for a Halloween Party

Mummy Wrap Game

For this game you’ll need at least 4 people playing and 4 roles of toilet paper. Separate your guests into at least two teams and come up with a theme of how your guests will mummify their team member. For example, say you have two teams of two people. Once of the two will be the mummy and one will be the mummifier. If your theme is “witches” give the team 2 minutes to wrap their mummies into a creative witch outfit using the toilet paper. This Halloween game will have your guests laughing and takes almost zero prep from you.

Ghost Busters

For this game you’ll need 12 plastic Dixie cups, a sharpie, and a ball. On each clear plastic Dixie cup, draw two eyes and an open surprised mouth (like a ghost might have). Then configure your cups into a 3-2-1 tower with the object of the game being that your guests will throw a ball to try and knock down all the cups. Set up two stations so if you choose to make it a relay you’ll have the team go against each other. Alternatives to using a ball include sling-shotting a rubber band or blowing the cups down with the players mouths.

Witch Pitch

Similar to the last this game involves 6 plastic cauldrons (found at the dollar store) and ping pong balls. The cauldrons will be set up in a table or island is a 3-2-1 formation. Similar to water pong, the objective of this game is to throw a pig pong ball into one of the six cauldrons and if completed, take one of the cauldrons away so you have fewer cauldrons to eliminate. Marshmallows also work if you can’t locate ping pong balls.

Spider Races

This game is great fun especially if you are throwing a kids Halloween party. You’ll need two plastic spiders and two straws. Two of your guests will go against each other trying to blow their spider to the other end of the table without blowing the spider off the table of into the other player’s lane. Your guests will love the challenge and will root on their teammates.

Pin the Spider on the Web

Just like pin the tail on the donkey, you’ll have a background pinned up on your wall with the objective that your guests attempt to pin the spider onto the web. Blindfold the player, spin them around 5 times and send them on their journey to where they think they should pin the spider on the web. You’ll be surprised to see where the players end up! Make sure to clear the path in case players wander away from the web.

Pumpkin Ring Toss

This is a great game for when the sun goes down. Take your pumpkins into the back yard and place them far away from the players. Activate the glow sticks and form them into a ring shape. Once you’ve set up your playing space, have a member from each team attempt to throw a ring around the pumpkin stem. Each player gets three turns, and if they do not get it they have to retrieve their glow sticks and start over.
