Guild Tacoma Branch will be spotlighting one employee every month to talk about their position, passions, and hobbies. This month’s spotlight employee is Keri Reyes.
Keri Reyes – Guild Mortgage Tacoma Team Spotlight
Interviewer: What is your position?
Keri Reyes: I have been the branch operations manager for the Tacoma Branch of Guild Mortgage for a little over two months now. My job is to make sure loans are flowing smoothly from sales to operations as well as ensuring we are meeting our closing dates. Additionally, pipeline management is a big part of what I do. I spend a lot of the day going through our pipelines to make sure loans are moving forward, and building relationships with sales and processing to ensure we have the same goals.
I: What do you seek to accomplish in your new role?
KR: My biggest goal is to help Michael Fornerette grow the branch. I would like to free up the amount of time he has to spend at the office, which will give him the opportunity to focus on sales by being out in the field building relationships. My team will support that by excelling at the operations side of the business. A great thing about the Tacoma Branch is that sales and operations work under the same roof. By being present on a daily basis, it will help streamline processes, and speed up the time of delivery for action items. I also believe that the more interaction you have with folks from another side of the business, the more relationships you build, and the more efficient you are at your job.
I: What makes Guild stand apart from the competition?
KR: The Guild culture is amazing. The leaders in this business are top notch leaders who encourage and motivate their teams through coaching, feedback and recognition. Right now I am a part of Southwest Coaching where I meet with a mentor 1:1 to work on personal and career development. The coaching is a 45 min call every other week where we get to bounce ideas off each other, and keep ourselves accountable on our goals. To be a part of a company who encourages coaching and growth, is a special thing.
I: What do you like to do outside of work?
KR: I have two boys, 9 and 13. They are both heavily involved in sports so I spend a ton of time at their sporting events. My husband coaches both of my kids as well, which is really nice as it gives him that much more time to spend with them. He loves coaching and my kids love playing sports so I truly enjoy watching them all do what they love in my free time.
