Washington State Capitol
This government legislative building is one of the top things for military families to do in Olympia, Washington. It sits on 12 acres & offers free guided tours daily. If you and your family enjoy historic buildings, the Washington State Capitol is a must see. In the spring, the daffodils and tulips are in bloom and really add some beautiful color to the site. Percival Landing Park
Percival Landing Park is a Bayfront public space with a boardwalk, playground, and picnic areas with access to nearby restaurants. It is one of Olympia’s three waterfront parks and is located at the southern-most tip of the Puget Sound. Yashiro Japanese Garden
The Yashiro Japanese Garden was created to symbolize the relationship between Olympia and it’s sister city of Yashiro, Japan. It features traditionally manicured greenery, a koi pond, and many exotic plants & sculptures. The paths are lined with flowers creating colorful symmetry within the park. It is considered a beautiful oasis in the midst of the bustling city of Olympia, and often times you’ll find that you have the park all to yourself.
